About Classes & Participation:

  • Do I need to pre-register for classes?

    • Pre-registration is not required. Registration will be available at the event! However, we highly recommend pre-registering online to save time when you arrive.

  • How do class donations work?

    • Classes operate on a suggested donation basis. While all other activities at FACTS Fest are free, we kindly ask for a donation to participate in our instructor-led classes. Your contributions directly support The FACTS Initiative's mission to provide accessible trauma-informed therapy sessions for children and families. You can make a donation when you register online.

  • What if I want to attend multiple classes?

    • You are welcome to participate in as many classes as you like! Our class sessions run simultaneously, with new sessions beginning each hour. You can choose an "all-access pass" donation when registering, or make an a la carte donation for each class you attend.

    • New sessions begin 10 minutes after the hour throughout the event (e.g., 8:10 AM, 9:10 AM, 10:10 AM, 11:10 AM). Each session runs for approximately 45 minutes. We kindly ask that all participants arrive on the hour for their scheduled class time. Because of the nature of the classes—especially yoga and meditation—we want to minimize interruptions and create the most peaceful, focused environment possible for everyone.

  • What do I need to bring for the classes?

    • You don't need to bring any special equipment! Just wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. We will provide yoga mats for all participants, but you are absolutely welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

  • What are the classes like? Are they suitable for beginners?

    • Yoga & Fitness: Our yoga and fitness sessions are designed for all fitness levels, from absolute beginners to more experienced practitioners. Facilitators will guide you through bodyweight exercises and offer modifications to make movements milder or more challenging, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably and safely.

    • Meditation: These are focused, group meditation sessions led by an instructor. We will provide special listening devices to enhance your experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the practice. No prior meditation experience is needed.

    • Listening devices will be distributed at the entrance to the Meditation Zone. Please return them after your session.
